Adult & Teen Karate

Our teen and adult karate program provides a comprehensive course in traditional karate. Adults notice vast improvements in their coordination, strength and flexibility. Karate training can also aid in weight reduction, muscle toning and stress relief.

Enjoy the new confidence that comes from knowing you have the ability to protect yourself and your family, should the need ever arise.

Youth Karate (7 to 12)

Our youth karate program offers both an effective self-defense curriculum and instruction in life skills like respect, discipline, and striving for excellence. Children learn to concentrate by learning specific karate movements and patterns called kata. This often results in improved school work and grades. As students learn they can defend themselves with these ancient sequences their confidence begins to soar. Structured classes are balanced with fun activities and fellowship to keep our students motivation high. Classes are organized by skill and age for safety.

End of quarter examinations encourage students to set and work towards their goals. Belts and stripes are awarded accordingly until they reach the coveted Black Belt.

Kinder Karate (5 & 6)

Our Tiny Tigers meet twice weekly for 50 minutes. These five and six year olds learn and develop fundamental martial arts skills as well as leadership skills. Children focus on a variety of safety skills in this class as well as life skills. Fire safety, stranger danger, water safety as well as memorizing important personal information such as phone number, address and the all-important 911. Children love the variety of listening games we use to develop skill while parents seem to appreciate the safety and life skills the most! Formal belt recitals are every three months.

This age is a great time to start a child on a path of making the right decisions. Try our Introductory Course to get started! See the schedule and call today to make your appointment. Our popular classes fill quickly.

"People rarely succeed at anything unless they have fun doing it!"

Pre-School Program (3 1/2 & 4)

Our Tiger Tots meet once per week, for a half-hour life skill program that uses the martial arts to prepare three and four year olds for Kinder Karate and school by teaching them coordination (left from right), discipline (holding still), manners (yes Sensei, no Sensei) and respect (listening and following directions) through the use of simple martial arts skills such as kicking, punching and blocking. We find that the children love the playful curriculum while the parents enjoy the life skill message!

Homeschool Program

Photo of studentsOne of our homeschooling programs is offered through Bethel Family Technology Center or "HomeSource". It is a private alternative school funded through Bethel School District. Children register through Homesource and participate in classes at our facility in the mornings and early afternoons. To check out our current course offerings or for more information, please click on this link. [more info]

Our other homeschool program is designed for homeschooling families that are not involved with HomeSource. It is private-pay and a great opportunity for parents and children to train together.

Adult Tai Chi and Kung Fu

Adult karate and kung fu studentsCheck out the newest addition to our program menu: Tai Chi (Yang Style) and Praying Mantis Kung Fu! Our Tai Chi/Kung Fu program is designed for Teens and Adults who are specifically looking for a soft-style martial arts experience.

Although this is soft-style, it is anything but boring! Many students use Tai Chi as a warm up for Kung Fu. Both improve strength, conditioning, coordination, flexibility, and are easy on joints and muscles
